SquareTrade hires Former Hotwire CMO

San Francisco, CA – February 1, 2012 –SquareTrade announced today that Ty Shay has joined SquareTrade as Chief Marketing Officer. He will oversee the growth and strategic direction of SquareTrade’s marketing efforts.

Shay joins SquareTrade with a history of growing brands and businesses at Hotwire, Esurance, Clorox and Procter & Gamble. Most recently Shay founded FanIQ, a sports social games site, which he grew to over 12 million users. Prior to FanIQ, Shay joined Hotwire prior to launch and as CMO grew it into a top five travel site, culminating in a sale to IAC Corporation for more than $660 million. Before Hotwire, Shay oversaw the launch of Esurance’s first branding and marketing efforts.
