The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge debuted to the world on March 11, 2016, and was an evolution of the previous Galaxy S6 Edge. The Galaxy S7 Edge features upgraded hardware, some refinements to the design, and the reintroduction of IP certification for water resistance and expandable storage.
The Galaxy S7 Edge is the larger cousin of the Galaxy S7, featuring a 5.5" AMOLED display that wraps around the edges of the phone. A more rugged version of the Galaxy S7 Edge was produced called the Galaxy S7 Active, which featured a more robust and rugged build quality with increased battery capacity.
